Every child, safe and valued
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16
Wonga Park Christian Reformed Church is committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and young people in our care. Children are a vital part of our church family, and we want our church to be a place where every child is welcomed, valued, heard, and kept safe.
We have zero tolerance for child abuse of any kind. Everyone who serves with children in our church, including our staff, elders, deacons and volunteers, is screened and expected to follow our code of conduct. Child safety is a standing item at every church council meeting.
Safe for every child
We are committed to protecting children from harm, abuse and neglect, and to responding quickly and appropriately whenever a concern is raised.
Welcoming every culture
We recognise and respect the diverse backgrounds of every child and family, including children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. We have zero tolerance for racism.
Every ability included
We value children of all abilities and needs, and we work to make sure every child can take part, feel included, and have their voice heard.
