A warm welcome, and a service for every kind of worshipper
The Christian Reformed Church of Wonga Park is a community-based church, with members coming from across Melbourne's eastern and south-eastern suburbs. Our Sunday services are a mixture of contemporary and traditional styles, and preaching and teaching the Bible are central in everything we do.
Wear whatever you feel is comfortable and appropriate for worship, you'll find everything from jeans to jackets, and everyone is welcome exactly as they are.
You won't be left standing alone
Look out for our greeters at the doors, they're there to help you find a seat and answer any questions. You can fill out a connect card in the foyer to let us know you're new, or reach out anytime online.
Between services we stay connected through the Church Center app and our YouTube and Facebook pages, great ways to keep up with what's on and watch a sermon again.
Age-appropriate programs, every Sunday
We want your kids and teens to feel just as at home as you do, with something for every age.
Cry Room
A glass-fronted room at the back of the auditorium for babies and parents with very young children, so you can still see and hear the service.
Children's Talk & Sunday School
There's a children's talk during the service, because we believe children are a vital part of our church community, so we share God's Word with them. During school terms, primary school aged children then head off to Sunday School. During the holidays, there's a drawing table up the back of the church with colouring and activity sheets to keep them busy.
Growing in God's Word Together
We believe high schoolers are just as much a part of the church family as anyone else, so they're discipled alongside the whole congregation rather than in a separate program. We print note-taking pages on the back of our newsletter each week, so they can take notes right along with everyone else.
Part of a wider family of churches
Wonga Park CRC belongs to the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia (CRCA), a denomination of about 50 congregations established since 1951. We stand in the Protestant, Calvinist, Reformed wing of the Christian church, holding to the authority of Scripture and the historic Reformed confessions.
